Wall-EGrew Up

Wall-E is officially fixed...well sort of.

Here's what happened.

I called Sears because Wall-E has been crazy leaky. When I moved him into the kitchen he completely stopped leaking in the front, he still was draining water like crazy, but he stopped dripping in the front.

The Sears technician came over - this was our conversation:

Him: So what's happening?
Me: He - I mean, the AC is leaking. It used to leak in the front, but it stopped. But it still drains a lot of water. (I point to a full bucket of water).
Him: It's just doing its job.
Me: This isn't normal.
Him: Maybe you just have a really humid apartment.
Me: My sister lives in NYC and has the same model - she didn't drain the water for two weeks.
Him: I don't know what to tell you, but I don't think anything is wrong.
Me: But the leak in the front...
Him: Well it's not leaking now, so I don't know what to tell you.
Me: Can you at least look?
Him: Yeah, but I'm not gonna find anything.

I leave him to his work. Twenty minutes later he calls me back into the kitchen.

Him: I figured out the problem.
Me: You did! What is it?
Him: It's not really a problem, you just have it on the dry setting.
Me: Yeah.
Him: Well that's why it's making so much water.
Me: I just changed it to that setting last night (which was TRUE). It leaks just as bad on cool mode.

He didn't believe me. I swore that it did. He was extremely sassy and said he'd look again.

An hour goes by. We hear dishes being touched in the kitchen. The bag of pretzels being eaten. Finally he comes out and was like...

Him: Oh yeah, turns out an internal coil wasn't hooked up, so I fixed it.

And it totally fixed it. Like I haven't had to drain him yet. Which made me kinda sad, like Wall-E grew up, he doesn't need me anymore.

Not true. Wall-E started leaking again a few hours ago from the front. Freaking technician.

Let's come back to the technician.

An hour after he leaves he calls me like "Hey...I left something. I'll come by later to pick it up." I had class at 6. He calls me like ten times at 7, so I texted him like "Hey Sears Technician (I never got his name) I'm not home, come by tomorrow before 11." He comes over the next morning and opens what he left and was like "Did you take the battery out of this?" I had not. Like what on earth?

Then I get an email later from Sears. It says, "Thanks so much for filling out the technician survey!" I filled out no such survey. Sears even sent me my responses apparently I said AMAZING things about the technician.

I'm pretty sure he filled out the survey and put my name in email on it (information he had). Ridiculous.

  1. Sooo, The leak in the front are you calling them back and are you ratting him out about the survey? This story is leaving me hanging. I don't like that.
