Coney Island

I know I'm like super late posting this, and you've probably already seen Paige's pictures on Instagram and Facebook, but whatevs.

Last weekend Paige, Jeff, Julia, and I went to Coney Island! I've been meaning to go there for the past three years, so it was exciting. I love riding the subway and going above ground, it's seriously the best. The Coney Island subway station was super bright, happy, and there was a Baskin Robbins - basically just wonderful.

It was so freaking hot that day. I'm not a huge beach person and this is why: a million people on the sticky scuzzy sand, gross water, blaring sun, and cigarette butts poking through my beach towel. It's five days later and my back is still sunburnt.

Because it was so hot, Julia and I decided to go in the water. Unfortunately the water was like a million feet away and people were blocking the path. We started walking through this maze when it hit us - the sand felt like the fire of A THOUSAND SUNS. I have never felt such pain. But we were past the point of no return - we had to get to the water. The water was disgusting, but so cold and felt amazing. Like I can't even describe how refreshing, even with random things touching my legs.

We also went on the Wonder Wheel and ate Nathan's hot dogs:

Nathan's hot dog with onions and mustard - the onions really made it.

View from the Ferris Wheel. It looks like a Where's Waldo scene down there.

The Wonder Wheel

Boardwalk and beach.

Switching topics Julia and I had such a Dumb and Dumber moment.

Wall-E is once again terrorizing the apartment. He is leaking all over and now the floor is again busted. Granted, I think that's more from it not being installed properly. I wasn't sleeping at night, I was constantly applying towels to Wall-E, and the Sears guy isn't coming until July 17th. I couldn't mentally handle it anymore - Wall-E needed to move out. So we decided to move him into the kitchen and try to blow the air down the hallway. As we're moving him down the hallway he's leaking like crazy and we're stuck. I was like "Julia! I'm freaking pulling, why are you stopping?" And she's like you're the one that's stopping! We were fighting and I showed her I was pulling and then I look down and see WALL-E IS STILL PLUGGED IN TO THE WALL. I started laughing hysterically, and then the laughter started turning to tears in like oh my gosh I hate everything. I quickly stopped, because hello, that was hilarious.

Also something in our bathroom smells rancid. The shower drain isn't clogged, the toilet and sink are scrubbed and clean. I googled and we might have slime in our pipes.

Like seriously? Hot apartment, gross smells, and broken floor.

But hey, I'm getting A's in summer school, and that's a positive.
