Paige EvANNE of Green Gables

Today Jason and I went out to Brooklyn to try some of the places on the Village Voice's top 10 donut places. Before this I had been to three of the places on the list, and now I can cross off two more.

How cute is this?

We went to Peter Pan and DuMont - DuMont is a burger place, but they also have a donut machine up front and they make baby donuts with dipping sauces - I got the chocolate, lemon, and dulce de leche. I got to be GPS Caitlin on this Brooklyn excursion while he drove...let's just say I'm no GPS Jeff. We took many a wrong turns, but we got to enjoy more of Brooklyn...I still don't want to live there. The donuts were okay, nothing really spectacular. Donut plant, the place a few blocks away from me, is still the best.

So as we get back to Manhattan I get a text from Paige saying "PROBLEM." I panicked and thought, "I left her home for three hours - just three! Why did I ever leave her unattended? What could she have possibly done? The shower better not be broken..." I walk into the apartment and this is greeting me:

Paige did a botched dye job. I told her she needed her hair professionally done, but Paige (as you all know) is all about a quick fix. She has an appointment at Bumble and Bumble tomorrow. She blames me for this, because I picked out the box color, and I told her that her blonde hair color with the fugly dark roots taking over half her head was bad...IT WAS.

I know it's mean, but coming home to this delighted me. I know, I'm a terrible person.

My Winston moment:
I get in the elevator with him and he stares at me (as per usual) and I asked him "Have you been watching the olympics?" And he was like "Oh yes! I enjoy it. That blonde girl won gold last night. She's good." I agreed and he said, "Maybe next year I'll be watching you!" Then he looked me up and down, smiled, and got off the elevator. Oh Winston.

Also I was looking through photos on my computer and found a photo shoot with me and Hailey done my senior year of high school (I already showed you this mom), and I love these:

The album cover for our Indie band: Suburban Gothic.

I miss five year old Hailey. She looks so trendy.
