Back in the New York Groove

That song is stuck in my head. That at&t commercial plays all the time, so now that song will forever be stuck in my head. 

SO yesterday Paige and I had a lovely brunch at Tbsp - it was adorable. They gave us a complimentary scone and muffin basket because we had to wait, and then slipped in cupcakes in Paige's to go bag. I had a delightful lemon curd waffle and she had some egg and mushroom hash brown thing. Overall a fabulous new find.

Now to the good stuff: today was my first day working with my full cast. They are absolutely wonderful. Casting Friday was great, I was so sad that I couldn't use everyone. I still have more rewrites to do, but the final script will be done by Wednesday night, and we're doing some improv work this week so that might lead to more changes. Fredi, my director, today told me she wanted to go all the way with this project and maybe shop it around to producers or something, and that she wanted to continue being a part of it. So maybe one day it will actually be produced and performed legitimately, rather than just a staged reading.  Who knows. It's really weird to think about.
