And what a two weeks it has been.
The Italian locals have been more friendly to me, as in, a lot more Ciao Bellas and Complementis. I had one guy say in a very creepy voice "Mmm, I like blondes."
He obviously didn't speak much English, which made me wonder, of all the English words you decided to pick up, you chose "I like blondes"?
Then as I was walking home from today's adventure a guy stumbled on the street and totally grabbed on to me. Jess has been loving this.
Today we went to a cooking class at this Tuscan farmhouse in the hills above Firenze. It was a straight up Nancy Meyers movie kitchen. My dream is to have a little house for a kitchen.
Look at how good I am at setting up my handmade pasta.

This is Jess!
My pasta.
Domestic pizza goddess. I tossed the dough in the air, it was fabulous.
My tiramisu - I could only eat half of it.
Amaretto gelato. It burned. But it was so tasty.
A little bit of scenery.
We made bruschetta, pizza, pasta (with a delicious beef sauce), thinly sliced pork with gravy, roasted potatoes, tiramisu, and gelato. I ended up with a cibo bambino.
But yesterday I walked a total of over 13 miles, which I feel like prepared me for this meal. I put on jeans for the first time today and was so scared they wouldn't fit, but they were actually kinda loose (until I ate all those things), so my pizza and pasta diet is working.
I posted this on instagram, but mom, in case you didn't see.
I had to walk 13 miles yesterday because for school we had a cultural assignment, where you were partnered with someone and you had to go to several historical florence sites. Maria and I got the worst assignment, as ours was a 45 minute walk away from school. Everyone else's was like ten minutes away. I was not pleased. Then for school we have to find a random person in Florence to teach English lessons to. One guy in the other class has seriously approached 40 people and they all said no. I was fortunate enough to find someone, and I did half my assignment last night with him. He was so so tall. And now I can say I've been kissed by an Italian. A terrible story for another time. (Sorry, mom). But after that I hung out with some people from school last night. They enjoyed how my lesson ended. I think I'm the only one in both classes to have actually completed the first part of the assignment. Go me!

ALSO I was walking and this woman was playing her CD player with a little mickey and minnie toy dancing beside it to Xanadu. It made me think of home.
