So I was super curious as to how I would like California. I was in the Redlands/Yucaipa, which reminded me so much of Provo, Utah. I tried Cafe Rio - yummy. We went to a street fair, where preteens were showcasing their musical talents (some were really bad).
The next day we we went to LA:
First stop: Randy's donuts! They were delicious. The guy taking my order was like "You're not from around here are you?" Am I that obvious?
We went up to Griffith's Observatory, so I have pics of the Hollywood sign closer, but I liked how this one turned out the best on Hollywood Blvd. Ugh, when I was out there a spider man jumped out and like hissed at me - it was terrifying.
In & Out. Meh. Not as delicious as Californians make it out to me - kinda tasted like McDonald's. ALTHOUGH I did love ordering from the secret menu. I went animal style and got my fries light - Oh yeah, I'm cool.
Disneyland was fun. I would liken it to the putt putt version of Disney World. I went on Screamin’ which was awesome - Dixie was doing most of the screaming. I saw Cars Land, I’m not a fan of the movie, but it was still pretty cool.
Sophia and Bill on the carousel. Soph is a pro.
I have always wanted to go to the Bibbidy Boppity Boutique and become ghetto princess fab, sadly there's an age limit, and a long line. BUT they sold the accessories separately!!! I grabbed some pink hair and put that sucker in with the blonde. I felt beautiful.
I'm a pretty princess. It ended up becoming more of a pink mullet...and people were looking at me like I was mentally disturbed. I didn't care, I wore it for the rest of the time.
Ha! And one morning I was in Dixie’s room and Sophie was handing me random things and I would say, “Thank you!” The next thing I know I’m being handed condoms by a one year old. The message was received: Safe sex or you’ll have me.
Granted, she's sassy and adorable. Maybe a little Soph wouldn't be such a bad thing...twenty years from now.
California was pretty awesome.
