Boris the Sagasaurus

Oh today... such disappointing news. Will Arnett and Amy Poehler are separating (love is truly dead), Frank was voted out of Big Brother, Federer is out of the U.S. open, and I have to get a root canal.

I knew today would be weird, because it started with Winston and a I becoming closer than ever. He is one of the few men who has seen me in my most terrifying state of being - right when I wake up. At 9am I hear a knock on the door, which I ignore, it persists, and I climb from the loft and open the door.

What did he see? Me in a spaghetti strap tank/polka dot pajama bottom combo, me with a huge blonde messy bun, me with squinty eyes, me without make up, and more importantly me without a bra, which is absolutely horrifying.

Him: Oh! I'm so sorry! (laughs) I didn't realize...

Didn't realize what? That I actually look like this?

Turns out my mom didn't pay the right amount of rent. Nice. So I climb back to bed, reflecting upon the horror of what he just witnessed. And realized, he now knows what I truly look like, which means he will totally stop his flirtation! Win!

Wrong. Later he knocks on the door and is handing me a package, he does the playful back in forth where he hands me the package and takes it away with his playful smile (which rarely comes out). And has been acting super happy and more talky to me all day. Which is not who he is - he is the gruff man who lives in the basement, who has now seen me without a bra.

I also checked out an apartment today. I kinda liked it, but it's in Spanish harlem which, come to find out, has the highest crime rate in Manhattan. Suck. But it was cute...

Then came the dentist.

I hate the dentist. Hate hate hate. Which is probably why I'm now in this horrible root canal situation. The first thing that came to mind is that 30 Rock episode.

And I really hope I imagine the dental staff like this:

Maybe I'll also meet my future husband in the waiting room who will become my "settling soulmate."
